After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join our optional “Floating Market” tour (55 Euro). On this tour, we leave Bangkok and first stop at a coconut farm in Samut Songhkhram, the birthplace of the world-famous Siamese twins. Here, we learn how Thai people use the coconut palm and see souvenirs made from it. You can also visit the orchid garden on the premises. After a coach journey of approximately 10 minutes, we arrive at the pier where traditional Thai boats depart. We board our boats and enjoy a journey of approximately half an hour through beautiful, exotic Far Eastern scenery before reaching the famous Floating Market, featured on magazine covers. Here, we see the open-air market set up in single-oared boats on the river and have the opportunity to shop. We explore the Floating Market until it closes at noon. On the return journey to Bangkok, you will sample some of Thailand’s most famous tropical fruits, purchased by your guide. Our subsequent tour includes the world-famous Golden Buddha Statue. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Later, at the time announced by our guide, guests who wish may join our optional Chao Praya Buffet Dinner Cruise (40 Euro). On this enjoyable 2-hour journey along the Chao Phraya River, we discover Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks from the water. We pass highlights including Wat Arun, the magnificent Grand Palace, lively Yodpiman Market, peaceful Wat Rakhang Temple and Phuttha Canal, where traces of traditional life remain. During the cruise, we have the opportunity to sample Thai dishes and seafood from the buffet while enjoying live music. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Bangkok and free time to relax.
