AvailableWe meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before departure. Following baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we depart for Moscow on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival in Moscow, the metropolitan capital of modern Russia, we begin our city tour. Panoramic sights include Red Square, the historic centre that has witnessed political and social upheaval; the striking St. Basil’s Cathedral with its colourful onion-shaped domes; the Kremlin Palace; the Bolshoi Theatre; Tverskaya Street; Gorky Park; Novodevichy Convent; Swan Lake; Luzhniki Stadium; Sparrow Hills; and finally Moscow University. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join our optional Moscow Metro & Arbat Street & Nazım Hikmet’s Grave & Kremlin Tour (125 EUR). During our metro tour, you can visit stations decorated with paintings, motifs and mosaics that rival art galleries, sample fine Russian and international cuisine in elegant cafés reminiscent of Paris, and watch local people going about their daily lives. Construction of the Moscow Metro was initiated by Stalin in 1931. Although its size is now compared with the metro systems of New York, Paris and London, it is widely regarded as the world’s most beautiful metro for its interior architecture and decoration. Arbat Street, running through central Moscow, is a pedestrian street that almost every visitor explores at least once, enjoying the walk from one end to the other. Here you can browse colourful shop windows and sample fine Russian and international cuisine. We then visit the grave of the great poet Nazım Hikmet. After free time for lunch, we begin our Kremlin tour. Built in the 12th century, the Kremlin has become a symbol of both Moscow and Russia. Sights include the 9 churches in the palace grounds, the bell tower with its 156 bells, the Tsar Bell weighing 201.924 Kg and made using 2 tonnes of silver and 25 kg of gold, and the 15-tonne cannon cast in 1586 but never used, together with its 1-tonne cannonballs. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join our optional Husky Park Sledding Tour (150 EUR). Following a journey of approximately 1 hour from Moscow, we arrive at Husky Park to spend time with these lovable companions, which hold a special place in Russian culture. Despite their wolf-like appearance, huskies are among the friendliest dog breeds. They never harm people, bite or show aggression, which makes them unsuitable as guard dogs. When it comes to pulling sleds, however, huskies are unrivalled, and sledding with them is a unique experience enjoyed by people and dogs alike. Huskies love running, and this physical activity is highly beneficial to their health. A sled team usually consists of 5-6 dogs led by an experienced lead dog. We will take part in this wonderful experience, playing with and feeding the huskies before enjoying a husky-led sled ride. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Moscow. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, check out at the time specified by our guide. Guests who wish may join our optional Moscow River Tour with Radisson Cruise (85 EUR). Beginning around midday, our tour offers a different perspective on Moscow’s magnificent illuminated historic buildings. After the tour, transfer to the airport. Fly to Istanbul on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Our tour and services end upon arrival at Istanbul Airport.
