Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day1ISTANBUL – MARRAKECH

We meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul New Airport three hours before the flight. After baggage, ticketing and boarding formalities, we fly to Marrakech on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight and board our private coach waiting at the airport. We then depart for our Marrakech city tour. Sights include the Koutubia Minaret and Jmaa el Fna, Africa's largest square, bringing together all the colours of Africa with its lively street performances, snake charmers and open-air restaurants. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Marrakech and enjoy free time. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Food and drink recommendation of the day: Be sure to try the freshly squeezed fruit juices in Jmaa el fna Square.

  2. Day2MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKECH

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A Portuguese port city on the Atlantic coast where art and ancient culture intertwine, Essaouira is also known by its Portuguese name, Mogador. It has served as a setting for many productions, including Orson Welles's Othello and the recently popular series Game of Thrones. In this remarkable city where art and culture come together, we visit the Jewish quarter, the mellah, the Portuguese fortress, the fishing port famous for its blue boats, and the spacious old town with its streets intersecting at right angles. Afterwards, we transfer to our hotel in Marrakech, with free time to relax. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

    Route: Marrakech–Essaouira 175 Km (3 Hours), Essaouira–Marrakech 175 Km (3 Hours)

Food and drink recommendation of the day: Try fresh seafood and fish.

Shopping recommendation: You can purchase world-famous Moroccan argan oil and argan oil-based cosmetics.

  3. Day3MARRAKECH – MAJORELLE GARDEN – FILM STUDIOS – AIT BENHADDOU – OUARZAZATE

After breakfast at the hotel, we explore Marrakech, a favourite destination of many European fashion designers, artists, musicians and adventurers, particularly the French, since the early 1900s. As an important centre for African trade, it embraces the colours of the entire continent. Once a city that shaped Islamic art and philosophy, its medina still preserves medieval traditions of daily life. We then visit Yves Saint Laurent's secret garden, Jardin Majorelle, one of the finest examples of Moroccan architecture. Here, we have the opportunity to see and photograph unique plants. We then depart for Ouarzazate. Before arriving, sights include the striking Ait Benhaddou and the Hollywood (Atlas) Film Studios, used as sets for numerous Hollywood films such as The Message, The Jewel of the Nile, The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander and Babel, as well as the recent television phenomenon Game of Thrones. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Ouarzazate, a city that has hosted many Hollywood productions and welcomed Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Martin Scorsese and many other Hollywood celebrities, and enjoy free time. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

    Route: Marrakech-Ait Benhaddou-Ouarzazate 215 Km (4 Hours)

  4. Day4OUARZAZATE – SAHARA DESERT

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for the Sahara Desert via Tinghir. The day unfolds like a road adventure, with the desert on one side and the Atlas Mountains on the other. Stops along the way include water channels, the Todra Valley and M'gouna, the city of roses. We then arrive and settle into our desert camp or hotel. From our accommodation overlooking the dunes, we watch a magnificent sunset. After dinner, we enjoy unforgettable moments beneath the stars lighting up the sky. We recommend that you do not miss the sunrise in the morning and capture these beautiful moments in photographs. Overnight at our accommodation. After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Fes. Following a photo stop in the magnificent Ziz Valley, we stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Midelt along our route. We then visit Ifrane in the Atlas Mountains, known as Morocco's little Switzerland, an attractive tourist destination noted for its ski resort and Swiss-style architecture. After a coffee break here, we continue to Fes. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel and enjoy free time. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

    Route: Sahara Desert–Ifrane 400 Km (6 Hours 30 Minutes)–Ifrane–Fes 65 Km (1 Hour 30 Minutes)

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our Fes tour. Following a walk around Bab-el Makhzen, the monumental gate of the royal palace, and the surrounding Jewish quarter, Mellah, we tour the medina. In the labyrinthine streets of Fes, we see world-famous madrasas, Karaouine University, Nejarine Square, the bazaar selling distinctive Moroccan jewellery and copperware, workshops producing some of the world's finest ceramics, and the tannery near the Fes River, where leather is still processed using traditional methods. We then travel to the Blue City, Chefchaouen, whose fame has long extended beyond Morocco's borders. After a walk through its maze of vivid blue streets, we have free time for guests who wish to shop. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Tangier and enjoy free time. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

    Route: Fes–Chefchaouen 200 Km (3 Hours 45 Minutes), Chefchaouen–Tangier 110 km (2 hours 30 minutes)

Food and drink recommendation of the day: Try harira soup and a stew.

  7. Day7TANGIER – RABAT – CASABLANCA

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the country's capital, Rabat. Surrounded by forests of eucalyptus and Portuguese cork oak, Rabat lies on the banks of the Bou Regreg River. It has served as the country's capital since the exiled king announced his return from this city. After visiting Kasbah Oudaya, Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed 5, we leave this city, which once also served as the capital of a pirate republic established in the region, and depart for our Casablanca city tour. Casablanca hosted negotiations between the opposing sides and extensive espionage activities during World War 2. The city owes its fame to the celebrated Hollywood film Casablanca, which portrays this period and is remembered for the line "Play it again, Sam." Today, Casablanca is an industrial city with one of the largest ports in both the country and Africa. Our panoramic sightseeing includes Mohammed V Square, Rick's Cafe, inspired by the setting of the film Casablanca, Hassan II Mosque, Anfa and Zerktouni boulevards, among the modern city's busiest thoroughfares, and the lively Corniche waterfront. • During trade fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments and similar periods, hotels may be located farther away than the stated distances in km or in a different city. In such cases, your agency will notify you 48 hours before departure.
  • The panoramic city tours included in the package provide a general introduction to the cities and are conducted entirely from the vehicle with commentary from the guide. They last no more than 2-3 hours and do not include admission to museums or archaeological sites. Fly Express is not responsible if panoramic tours or other tours specified in the itinerary cannot take place because local authorities prohibit visits or entry at the scheduled date and time, because of events or road closures, or because weather conditions make the tour impossible. Where roads are closed or vehicle access is prohibited, some tours may be conducted by public transport or on foot where possible.
  • Rooms for 3 guests are subject to hotel availability, and the bed allocated to the 3rd guest is smaller than a standard bed. Rooms for 3 guests consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are folding beds or sofa beds. Participants making reservations for a 3rd guest and/or a child are therefore deemed to accept the bed type and any limited space in the room. Child discounts apply to only one child within the applicable age range sharing a room with 2 adults. Hotels do not guarantee beds for children aged 0-2.
  • Hotel breakfasts included in the tour programme reflect the breakfast traditions of the country visited and generally consist of a limited menu known as a continental breakfast, comprising butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee. Groups may be served in a separate room allocated to them.
  • As tour flights are booked with group tickets, flight times may change. You can confirm the latest flight details with your agency. Your agency will provide the updated times with the tour information.
  • Tour flight times must be confirmed before purchasing domestic flights. If a guest purchases a domestic connecting flight independently from a provider other than the agency, they cannot claim any refund from the agency if the tour is cancelled by the agency or the flight times change. By purchasing the tour, the guest accepts in advance any financial or non-financial losses that may arise from the cancellation or alteration of the tour. Fly Express cannot be held responsible for these circumstances.
  • Under airline rules, if the outbound flight on a round-trip ticket is not used, the airline will cancel the return flight.
  • Guests joining the tour without flights must make their own way to the tour's starting point and arrive on time. Otherwise, they will be responsible for arranging all their own transfers.
  • Fly Express is not responsible if guests are unable to take their flight because they are not at the specified airport at the times advised in accordance with airline rules, fail to complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or complete these procedures on time but are unable to board the aircraft. Guests who miss their flight are responsible for all expenses required to join the tour, including new round-trip flight tickets and transfers at the destination.
  • Tour participants are responsible for their personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports / identity documents. Fly Express is not responsible for items that are left behind, lost or stolen. If forgotten items are found, there is no obligation to return them to the country and/or their owner, and any costs incurred in returning them are payable by the owner.
  • In cases of illness, loss, theft or similar incidents, the guide cannot accompany guests individually, as the guide's priority is to keep the group together and ensure the tour continues.
  • When purchasing the tour, you must provide your name as it appears in your passport, your date of birth and your passport number accurately. Flight tickets are issued using this information. Any ticket cancellation or change penalties resulting from incorrect information will be charged to you.
  • Some airlines may charge for food, drinks and online check-in services.
  • Specific coach seat numbers cannot be guaranteed during the tour.
  • The times announced by our guide during tours are departure times, when the vehicle starts moving. Our guide is responsible for treating all guests equally and will depart at the meeting time without waiting. Guests who arrive late must make their own way to the next stop.
  • The participant agrees in advance to join the tours specified in the itinerary without disrupting the programme and to pay the tour representative separately during the trip the amount stated in advance in the itinerary to cover expenses such as local guides, museum & archaeological site admissions, city taxes and audio headsets, where applicable. The participant has been fully informed of these arrangements.
  • Optional tours are organised by the local agency providing our services and require a minimum of 20 participants. If there are insufficient participants, the tours may not operate, or their prices, content and vehicles may vary according to the number of participants. The guide may also change the days and times of tours according to the opening schedules of museums and archaeological sites and the weather conditions. A different guide may accompany guests on optional tours.
  • In our classic packages that do not include optional tours, participation in these tours is voluntary. Guests who do not wish to join optional tours arranged during the trip are deemed to have agreed to wait at a suitable rest stop along the route. These guests will be dropped off at the rest stop before the optional tour begins and picked up from the same location after it ends.
  • For itineraries that include optional excursions, payment of museum & archaeological site entrance fees is mandatory.
  • Fly Express acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. Scheduled and charter flights may be delayed, and flight times may change before the tour and flight. Fly Express is obliged to communicate these changes as soon as possible. By purchasing the tour, passengers acknowledge and accept that flight details may change.
  • VISA
  • Turkish citizens do not require a visa. A passport valid for at least 6 months from the end of the trip is sufficient for a visa application.
  • Guests travelling on Turkish green passports issued more than 10 years ago must renew their passports (extensions are not accepted). Otherwise, they may be denied entry to their destination country and/or boarding by the airline. In such cases, responsibility rests with the passenger.
  • The visa information provided in the programme applies to citizens of the Republic of Türkiye. Guests holding passports issued by other countries should obtain visa information from the relevant consulates.
  • Immigration officers have the authority to deny you entry to the country. Fly Express is not responsible for this; responsibility rests with the passenger.
  • To avoid problems with border officials upon arrival in the destination country, passports that are torn, worn, water-damaged and/or have sustained similar damage must be renewed. If the destination country requires a visa for Turkish citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility rests with the passenger.
  • When guests under 18 travel alone or with only one parent, border police may request a document showing the consent of both parents upon entry or exit. We therefore advise guests under 18 and their parents to pay particular attention to this requirement.
Cancellation policy
  • For cancellations made at least 30 days before departure, the full tour price will be refunded.
  • For cancellations made 29-16 days before departure, 50% of the tour price excluding airfare will be refunded. Airfare is non-refundable.
  • For cancellations made 15-0 days before departure, the full tour price is forfeited and no refund will be issued.
  • If a guest fails to join the tour on the departure date because they miss their flight, coach or other means of transport, the full tour price is forfeited and no refund will be issued.
