FullWe meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before departure (one day before the flight date). We complete baggage, ticketing and boarding formalities.
We depart for Seoul on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival in Seoul, we board our private vehicle waiting at the airport and transfer to our hotel, with free time to rest. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a panoramic Seoul city tour. Sights include Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum of Korea, Insadong Antique Street, and Myeongdong Street. At the end of the tour, we transfer to Seoul Airport at the time specified by our guide for our flight to Osaka. After passport and baggage procedures, we depart for Osaka with a local airline. Upon arrival, we transfer to our hotel in Osaka, followed by free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a panoramic city tour of Osaka, Japan’s second-largest metropolitan area after Tokyo. Sights include Osaka Castle, built in the 16th century and instrumental in the unification of Japan; the Umeda Sky Building, comprising two 173-metre towers; Dotonbori; and Shinsaibashi. We then visit the Umeda Sky Building, a magnificent high-rise near Osaka and Umeda stations. The 173-metre building consists of two towers connected by the "Floating Garden Observatory" on the 39th floor. The observatory offers wonderful city views through its windows and from its open-air deck. We then depart for our Hiroshima tour, travelling by high-speed train. During our city tour, we see the Hiroshima Peace Memorial on our panoramic route. Located in Hiroshima, Japan, and also known as the Atomic Bomb Dome, the memorial forms part of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, it is one of the main places commemorating those who lost their lives in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. We then see Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. The park is dedicated to Hiroshima, the first city in the world to suffer a nuclear attack, where the death toll had reached 140.000 by the end of 1945. Before the bombing, the area now occupied by the Peace Park was the city’s political and commercial heart, which is why it was chosen as the pilot’s target. Four years after the bombing, it was decided that the area would not be redeveloped and would instead be dedicated to peace memorial facilities. After also seeing the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, we transfer to Hiroshima railway station. Following our high-speed train journey, we transfer to our hotel in Osaka, with free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our Osaka Castle tour. With a history spanning almost 450 years, this five-story castle is one of the country's most visually magnificent creations and a fine testament to traditional Japanese architecture, from its subtle balance of colors to the elegant patterns and shapes adorning each floor. At the end of the tour, we transfer to Kyoto for a full day of free time. We then depart for our Nara tour. We begin with Todaiji Temple. Built in 752, the temple was intended to serve as the head of all Buddhist temples. Its influence grew over time, extending into politics in the 8th century. Todaiji's main hall has also entered the record books as the world's largest wooden structure. This enormous building houses one of Japan's largest bronze Buddha statues (Daibutsu). We then visit Nara Park, a large park in central Nara. It is home to many of Nara's major attractions, including Todaiji, Kofukuji, and the Nara National Museum. It is also home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. After the opportunity to take photographs with the roaming deer, we visit Kofukuji Temple. Finally, we visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, one of Kyoto's best-known landmarks. Dedicated to the Shinto faith, this shrine is particularly famous for its thousands of red "torii" gates. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Kyoto, followed by free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our full-day Kyoto tour. We begin our city tour at Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, which welcomes visitors with a 500-meter walking trail. As we walk along the trail, you can enjoy the sound of the wind passing through the bamboo and take photographs of the forest. We then continue with our tour of Kinkakuji Temple. A Zen temple in northern Kyoto whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf, Kinkakuji is also known as the Golden Pavilion. Each floor of this impressive building overlooking a large pond represents a different architectural style. After free time, we visit Kiyomizudera (Pure Water) Temple, founded in 780 at the site of Otowa Waterfall in the wooded hills east of Kyoto and named after the waterfall's pure waters. Our final stop is Gion, Kyoto's most famous geisha district, located around Shijo Avenue between Yasaka Shrine to the east and the Kamo River to the west. Here, we will have the opportunity to watch a traditional Japanese tea ceremony performed by maiko. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Kyoto, followed by free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
Note: When leaving the hotel on the morning of the tour, you must take a small bag with everything you need for one day. All other belongings left at the hotel will be transferred to the hotel in Tokyo 1 day in advance, as we will travel from Kyoto to Tokyo by high-speed train the following day.
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to Tokyo by high-speed train. We then depart for Mount Fuji. Standing 3776 meters tall and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013, Mount Fuji is Japan's highest mountain and is known for its elegant conical shape. It is a sacred symbol of the country, with temples and shrines around and on the volcano. Weather permitting, we will reach Mount Fuji's fifth station, where you can enjoy magnificent views above the clouds in a wonderful setting. We then depart for our Hakone tour. Among Hakone's most distinctive features are its exceptional views, thanks to its proximity to Mount Fuji. Here, we take a boat tour on Lake Ashi to enjoy this magnificent scenery together. We then ascend Owakudani Hill by cable car for the chance to admire the beauty of the Hakone valley from above. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Tokyo, followed by free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our Tokyo city tour. Our first stop is Asakusa Temple, also known as Sensoji, a Buddhist temple in Asakusa and one of Tokyo's oldest and most colorful temples. According to legend, it was built by 2 fisherman brothers to honor Kannon, the goddess of mercy. Completed in 645, the temple is approached through Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), which leads to Nakamise, a shopping street stretching over 200 meters. The other end of the street leads to Hozomon, the temple's second gate. During our stop on the shopping street, you can purchase typical Japanese souvenirs such as kimonos and folding fans, or sample a variety of traditional local snacks from the Asakusa area. We continue with a visit to Meiji Shrine, an important Shinto shrine where you can find tranquility amid Tokyo's bustling city life and experience Japanese culture and history up close. Built in 1920 in memory of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, the shrine welcomes visitors with impressive, enormous "torii" gates at its entrance. We then visit Shibuya Crossing, one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in Shibuya, one of the 23 special wards of Japan's capital, Tokyo. Located among business and shopping centers in one of the city's busiest areas, it is known as the world's busiest pedestrian crossing. We then depart for the Teamlabb Digital Art Museum. As the world's first digital art museum, it will make you feel as though you have stepped into a fantastical world. Located in Tokyo's Toyosu district, TeamLab is an interactive digital art museum that combines technology and art to offer visitors a sensory and emotional experience. This unique space uses elements such as water, light, movement, and sound to create an artistic world in which you can fully immerse yourself. TeamLab Planets focuses on the theme of “Body Immersive.” In this concept, visitors do more than view artworks: they become part of them. In areas explored without shoes, walking barefoot enhances the sensory experience. We then depart for Ginza, Tokyo's most famous luxury shopping, dining, and entertainment district, home to numerous stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, and cafés. From 1612 to 1800, the area now known as Ginza was the site of a silver coin mint, giving the district its name, which means "silver mint" in Japanese. Finally, we conclude our tour with a photo stop at Tokyo Tower. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Tokyo, followed by free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
We check out early in the morning and transfer to Tokyo Airport for our flight to Istanbul. After baggage, passport and ticket formalities, we depart on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Our tour and services end upon arrival at Istanbul Airport.
