FullWe meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul New Airport three hours before our flight. After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we depart for Tunis on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival at Tunis Airport, we board our private coach waiting at the airport and set off for a tour of Kairouan, one of the sacred heritage sites of the Islamic world. Here, we experience the spiritual atmosphere of this historic city as we visit the Great Mosque of Uqba ibn Nafi, considered the ancestor of all mosques in the Maghreb, the Aghlabid Basins, a masterpiece of the region’s hydraulic engineering, and the mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi. Following our tour, transfer to the hotel and free time to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will set off on an unforgettable adventure in 4x4 jeeps to watch the sunset amid endless golden sands, sweeping oasis landscapes and mysterious canyons. This journey will reveal that Tozeur is more than just sand: it is a wonderland of nature’s most striking contrasts. Our first stop is Chebika, a desert oasis where sunlight creates enchanting reflections on the rocks. Once a resting place for Roman soldiers, this area is a paradise in the desert, with hidden springs and lush greenery. Here, we will witness nature’s wonders as we listen to the soothing sound of water flowing between the rocks. We will then reach Tamerza, Tunisia’s largest mountain oasis. With its clear waterfalls, steep cliffs and dazzling scenery, Tamerza is one of nature’s captivating treasures. The contrast between the hot, dry desert and these refreshing springs makes the area truly enchanting. Mides Canyon is a work of art patiently crafted by nature! Shaped by wind and water over millions of years, these deep canyons impress visitors with their striking curves and imposing formations. Here, we will have the opportunity to trace geological history and admire nature’s artistry through the ages. After our safari, we will reach the Star Wars film set, stepping into a science fiction universe in the heart of the desert. The mystical atmosphere of the Sahara Desert has created a unique world that brought the famous film’s iconic scenes to life. Offering film fans the feeling of travelling through time, this set will immerse you in the world of science fiction. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Douz, known as the "Gateway to the Desert". One of Tunisia’s most impressive natural wonders, Douz is a unique destination where endless sand dunes capture the magic of the Sahara. This is a land where Berber tribes have lived as nomads for centuries and camel caravans have left their trails. Here, we will experience the profound silence of the desert and admire the impressive landscapes formed by vast sand dunes. In the immensity of the Sahara, we will feel the captivating power of nature as we observe the unique patterns carved into the sand by the wind. With their wind-sculpted curves and colours that shift with the daylight, the dunes create a natural painting. After bidding farewell to the mystical atmosphere of Douz, we will head to Matmata, famous for its remarkable underground homes. The cave dwellings used by the Berber people for thousands of years are an impressive heritage bearing traces of the past. Beneath its seemingly simple desert landscape, Matmata reveals a hidden world of buildings arranged around courtyards dug into the ground. This distinctive architecture was developed to provide protection from the scorching summer heat and harsh winter winds. The area’s exotic atmosphere is so striking that it inspired unforgettable scenes in the Star Wars films. As we explore this enchanting setting, we will feel as though we are in a film scene and have the opportunity to experience traditional Berber culture up close. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Sfax and free time to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for El Jem. Its amphitheatre is one of the best-preserved Roman remains in the world. Built in the middle of the third century AD (AD 230-240), this monumental amphitheatre is the largest surviving Roman monument in Africa and ranks third in the Empire after those in Rome and Verona. One of the last great amphitheatres built during the Roman period, its architectural design is an improved version of the Colosseum in Rome. We will then depart for Monastir. We will visit the mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba, the country’s first President, who played an important role in Tunisia’s independence. Distinguished by its golden dome and elegant architecture, the Bourguiba Mausoleum is one of the most significant monuments to the country’s modern history. Here, we will gain valuable insights into Tunisia’s recent past by examining Bourguiba’s personal belongings and historical documents from the period. Our adventure will then continue with a tour of Sousse, where narrow streets come alive with the aromas of local flavours and the vibrant colours of the markets. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Hammamet and free time to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, our first stop will be the ancient city of Carthage. Founded by the Phoenicians and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient city invites us to follow in the footsteps of the famous Carthaginian commander Hannibal as we explore 3.000 years of Roman, Byzantine and Crusader remains. Home to numerous ancient structures and ruins, Carthage reflects its rich history through its thermal baths, temples and city walls. Our tour will then continue with a visit to the Bardo Museum. The museum houses an extensive collection of artefacts, with particularly remarkable Roman mosaics. With intricate designs and vivid colours, each mosaic tells a unique story of Tunisia’s diverse past. We will then head to the historic Medina of Tunis. We will explore the Medina, also known as Old Tunis, with its narrow streets and bazaar filled with souvenir shops. We will visit Souk El Attarine, a famous market in the historic centre of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. "Souk" means "market" or "bazaar" in Arabic, while "El Attarine" means "perfumers" or "spice merchants". Here, you can shop at your leisure. Other sights include Place de la Kasbah (Historic Tunis Square) and the Zitouna Mosque. We will then head to Sidi Bou Said, with its blue and white houses, narrow streets and breathtaking views, surrounded by the blue waters of the Mediterranean. You will be able to stroll through the enchanting streets of Sidi Bou Said, also known as the Santorini of Tunisia, and take wonderful photographs. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel.
After checking out early in the morning, departure for our Nabeul city tour. As we stroll through the atmospheric streets of Nabeul, the capital of ceramics and pottery, we will see many items typical of Tunisia, including copperware, leather goods, embroidery and cradles. Transfer to Tunis Airport at the time specified by our guide. After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding formalities, we will depart for Istanbul on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Following a relaxing and comfortable flight, arrival in Istanbul and the end of our tour.
