AvailableWe meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before departure (one day before the flight date). We complete baggage, ticketing and boarding formalities.
We depart for Seoul on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival in Seoul, we board our private vehicle waiting at the airport and transfer to our hotel, with free time to rest. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Gangnam Square. Meaning “south of the Han River”, Gangnam is Seoul's third-largest district. The area gained popularity following PSY's song Gangnam Style. Sights that can be seen on a panoramic tour include Cheongdam Fashion Street, Gangnam Station, Bonguensa Temple and Starfield Library. After a break for shopping, dining and photographs, we enjoy a boat tour on the Han River, offering an opportunity to discover Seoul from a different perspective. After a pleasant cruise past the city's modern skyline, bridges and riverside parks, we transfer to our hotel for free time to rest. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our full-day Seoul city tour. Sights on our panoramic tour include Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum of Korea, Insadong Antique Street and Myeongdong Street. We then visit Namsangol Hanok Village. Located at the foot of Mount Namsan in central Seoul, Namsangol Hanok Village is a fascinating cultural site featuring faithfully reconstructed traditional Korean houses from the Joseon Dynasty. As you stroll among the historic hanok houses, you will discover Korea’s traditional way of life and have the opportunity to see traditional crafts and cultural performances. We then transfer to Myeongdong, home to shops, cosmetics stores and numerous restaurants. Here, you can shop at your leisure and sample local flavours before leaving the country. Transfer to Seoul Airport for our flight to Tokyo. After passport and baggage formalities, we depart for Tokyo with a local airline. Upon arrival, we board our private vehicle waiting at the airport and transfer to our hotel in Tokyo. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our full-day Tokyo city tour. Our panoramic tour includes Tokyo Imperial Palace, built as the residence of the Imperial Family in central Tokyo, surrounded by trees, flowers, moats and Japan's natural scenery. The Imperial Palace has served as the residence of successive emperors since 1868. We stop for photos at Tokyo Tower. We then visit Asakusa Temple, also known as Sensoji, a Buddhist temple in Asakusa and one of Tokyo's oldest and most colourful temples. According to legend, it was built by 2 fisherman brothers to pay their respects to Kannon, the goddess of mercy. Completed in 645, the temple is approached through the Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), which leads to Nakamise, a shopping street stretching over 200 metres. The other end of the street leads to Hozomon, the temple's second gate. During our break on the shopping street, you can purchase traditional Japanese souvenirs such as kimonos and folding fans, or sample a variety of traditional local snacks from the Asakusa area. We then head to Ginza, Tokyo's most famous luxury shopping, dining and entertainment district, home to numerous shops, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs and cafés. From 1612 to 1800, a silver coin mint stood in what is now Ginza, giving the district its name, which means "silver mint" in Japanese. Our tour continues with a visit to Shibuya Crossing, known as one of the busiest pedestrian crossings, in Shibuya, one of the 23 special wards of Japan's capital, Tokyo. Situated among business and shopping centres in one of the city's busiest areas, it is known as the world's busiest pedestrian crossing. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Tokyo, with free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to Kyoto by high-speed train. We then depart for Mount Fuji. Standing at 3776 metres, Mount Fuji was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013. It is Japan’s highest mountain and is renowned for its elegant conical shape. A sacred symbol of the country, the volcano has temples and shrines on and around its slopes. Weather permitting, we reach the fifth station, where you can enjoy magnificent views of Mount Fuji above the clouds in a wonderful atmosphere. We then depart for our Hakone tour. One of the town’s most distinctive features is its exceptional scenery, thanks to its proximity to Mount Fuji. We take a boat trip on Lake Ashi to enjoy these magnificent views together. We then take the cable car up Owakudani Hill, where we have the opportunity to admire the beauty of the Hakone Valley. Afterwards, we depart for the outlet shopping centre. Gotemba Premium Outlet is a large outlet shopping centre at the foot of Mount Fuji in Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Opened in 2000, it is one of Japan’s largest outlets, featuring 290 stores. During our visit, you can shop at your leisure and enjoy free time. We then transfer to our hotel in Kyoto, with free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
Note: When leaving the hotel on the morning of the tour, you must take a small bag with everything you need for one day. All other belongings left at the hotel will be transferred from Tokyo to the hotel in Kyoto.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our full-day Kyoto tour. We begin our city tour at the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, which welcomes visitors with a 500-metre walking trail. As we walk along the trail, you can enjoy the sound of the wind passing through the bamboo and take photographs of the forest. We then continue with a visit to Kinkakuji Temple. Located in northern Kyoto, this Zen temple is also known as the Golden Pavilion, with its top two floors entirely covered in gold leaf. Overlooking a large pond, each floor of this impressive building represents a different architectural style. After free time, we visit Kiyomizudera (Pure Water) Temple, founded in 780 at the site of Otowa Waterfall in the wooded hills east of Kyoto and named after the pure waters of autumn. We then transfer to Gion, Kyoto’s most famous geisha district, located around Shijo Avenue between Yasaka Shrine to the east and the Kamo River to the west. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Kyoto, with free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, one of Kyoto’s most recognisable landmarks. Dedicated to the Shinto faith, the shrine is particularly famous for its thousands of red "torii" gates. We then depart for our Nara tour, beginning at Todaiji Temple. Built in 752, the temple was intended to serve as the head of all Buddhist temples. As its influence grew, it also began to affect politics in the 8th century. Todaiji’s main hall has earned a place in the record books as the world’s largest wooden building. This enormous structure houses one of Japan’s largest bronze Buddha statues, the Daibutsu. We then visit Nara Park, a large park in central Nara. It is home to many of Nara’s main attractions, including Todaiji, Kofukuji and the Nara National Museum, as well as hundreds of freely roaming deer. After the opportunity to take photographs with the deer, we visit Kofukuji Temple. At the end of the tour, we transfer to Osaka and set off for our Osaka Castle tour. With a history stretching back almost 450 years, the five-storey castle is one of the country’s most visually spectacular creations. From its subtle balance of colours to the elegant patterns and shapes adorning each floor, it is a fine example of traditional Japanese architecture.
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a panoramic city tour of Osaka, Japan’s second-largest metropolitan area after Tokyo. Sights include Osaka Castle, built in the 16th century and instrumental in the unification of Japan; the Umeda Sky Building, comprising two 173-metre towers; Dotonbori; and Shinsaibashi. We then visit the Umeda Sky Building, a magnificent high-rise near Osaka and Umeda stations. The 173-metre building consists of two towers connected by the "Floating Garden Observatory" on the 39th floor. The observatory offers wonderful city views through its windows and from its open-air deck. We then depart for our Hiroshima tour, travelling by high-speed train. During our city tour, we see the Hiroshima Peace Memorial on our panoramic route. Located in Hiroshima, Japan, and also known as the Atomic Bomb Dome, the memorial forms part of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, it is one of the main places commemorating those who lost their lives in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. We then see Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. The park is dedicated to Hiroshima, the first city in the world to suffer a nuclear attack, where the death toll had reached 140.000 by the end of 1945. Before the bombing, the area now occupied by the Peace Park was the city’s political and commercial heart, which is why it was chosen as the pilot’s target. Four years after the bombing, it was decided that the area would not be redeveloped and would instead be dedicated to peace memorial facilities. After also seeing the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, we transfer to Hiroshima railway station. Following our high-speed train journey, we transfer to our hotel in Osaka, with free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
