AvailableWe meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul New Airport three hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we begin our flight to Doha on a scheduled Qatar Airways service.
Upon arrival in Doha, we connect to our scheduled Qatar Airways flight to Seoul. We spend the night on board. Upon arrival in Seoul, we board our private coach waiting at the airport. We then transfer to our hotel in Seoul and enjoy free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our tour of Nami Island, a crescent-shaped island on the Han River. It takes its name from General Nami, who lived during the Joseon Dynasty. Known particularly for its natural beauty and cultural events, the island offers a different charm in every season. Cherry blossoms in spring, green trees in summer, colourful leaves in autumn and snow-covered landscapes in winter offer visitors unique experiences. The island is especially famous for its tree-lined paths, such as Metasequoia Lane and Ginkgo Tree Lane. We then depart to visit the “Garden of Morning Calm” arboretum. Founded in 1996 by Professor Han Sang-kyung, this garden covers approximately 330.000 square metres and is home to more than 5.000 plant species. Its name comes from the renowned Indian poet Tagore’s description of Korea as the “Land of the Morning Calm”. Continuing our tour, we stop for photos at the city’s landmark N-Seoul Tower before transferring to our hotel in Seoul for free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we travel by high-speed train to Busan, Korea’s second-largest city. Upon arrival, we visit the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea, built in memory of soldiers from 16 countries who lost their lives in the Korean War between 1950-1953. Home to the graves of 2.319 soldiers from 11 countries, it is the only United Nations cemetery in the world. The Turkish Memorial Cemetery, with the graves of 462 Turkish soldiers, is one of the most significant symbols of friendship between Türkiye and Korea. We then visit Yonggungsa Temple. Combining distinctive architecture with sea views, the temple was rebuilt in 1970 using traditional colours. It also features a three-storey pagoda adorned with four lion statues symbolising joy, anger, sorrow and happiness. We then transfer to Mipo Station for our Haeundae Blueline Beach Train tour. Running along a 4,8-kilometre route from Mipo Station to Cheongsapo Station, these driver-operated trains feature sea-facing seats and magnificent views of the Haeundae coastline, offering a unique sightseeing experience. The Haeundae Blueline Beach Train travels at an average speed of 15 km per hour and comes in vibrant colours such as red, yellow, green and blue. During the journey, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Haeundae coastline and take unforgettable photographs. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Busan for free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
Note: Travel from Seoul to Busan and back will be by high-speed train. On the day of departure for Busan, we recommend that guests bring clothing for 2 days. Large luggage will be left at the hotel in Seoul.
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to Gamcheon Culture Village, a tourist district famous for its narrow streets, colourful houses and wall art, known as “Busan’s Santorini” or the “Lego Village”. With its colourful atmosphere and artistic character, Gamcheon offers an unforgettable experience. It was built by refugees during the Korean War in the 1950s. In 2009, as part of the “Dreaming of Machu Picchu in Busan” art project, artists and students painted the village’s walls and houses in vibrant colours and decorated them with various artworks and sculptures. This project transformed Gamcheon into a popular tourist destination. We then depart for Gyeongju, renowned for its rich historical heritage, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known as the “Museum Without Walls”. Our first stop in this city, which served as the capital of the Silla Kingdom for approximately a thousand years from 57 BC to 935 AD, is Bulguksa Temple. Built in the 8th century during the Silla Kingdom, the temple is regarded as one of Korea’s most treasured cultural heritage sites. In 1995, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List together with the nearby Seokguram Grotto. Noted for structures that reflect the architectural elegance and artistic detail of the Silla period, Bulguksa Temple houses seven significant works recognised as National Treasures of Korea. We then depart to visit Cheomseongdae Observatory. It is a cylindrical tower standing 17 metres tall. Its body consists of 365 cut granite stones, symbolising the days of the year. A square window in the middle divides the structure into two sections of 12 stones each, representing the 12 months. We then continue to Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. During the Silla period, the palace served as the crown prince’s residence and a venue for important state ceremonies. Wolji Pond, also known as the “Moon-Reflecting Lake”, is an artificial pond surrounded by stone walls. Today, Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond offer visitors enchanting views, especially when illuminated at night. After a photo stop here, we transfer to our hotel in Busan for free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we return to Seoul by high-speed train. Upon arrival, we take a short walk along the walls of Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon, built by King Jeongjo in honour of Prince Sado, before transferring to Gangnam. Meaning “South of the Han River”, Gangnam is Seoul’s third-largest district. The area rose to fame following PSY’s song Gangnam Style. Cheongdam Fashion Street, Gangnam Station, Bonguensa Temple and Starfield Library are among the sights on our panoramic tour. After a break for shopping, dining and photos, we transfer to our hotel in Seoul for free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
We check out of our rooms early in the morning. Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum of Korea, Insadong Antique Street, Namsangol Hanok Village and Myeongdong Street are among the places we will see. Our first stop, Gyeongbokgung Palace, was built in 1395 and is commonly known as the Northern Palace because it is located furthest north compared with the neighbouring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace). We then visit the National Folk Museum of Korea. The museum offers visitors insights into the daily lives, art and cultural development of the people of South Korea across different periods. Continuing our tour, we transfer to Myeongdong, home to shops, cosmetics stores and numerous restaurants. In Korea’s most famous shopping and fashion district, you can shop at your leisure and sample local flavours. We then transfer to Seoul Airport for our flight to Istanbul. After baggage, passport and ticket formalities, we fly to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. At the end of the tour, we transfer to Seoul Airport for our flight to Istanbul via Doha.
Note: Gyeonbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays. Changdeokgung Palace will be visited instead of Gyeonbokgung Palace.
After baggage, passport and ticket formalities, we board our Qatar Airways flight to Doha. We spend the night on board. Upon arrival in Doha, we connect to our flight to Istanbul. Our tour and services end upon arrival at Istanbul New Airport.
